It is eleven at night and as you precede to the Tuileries from Place de la Concorde, you find a trinkle of light through the trees. As you close in, you see a model standing in an oval plastic container. The models are shivering in their flimsy spring clothes from the evening chill. Dozens of “objet d’art” are seen sparkling in the darkness. The clothing continues Persoons’ “torn cloth sewn together” concepts but this collection also showed ornate new items of gold and silver layered as blouses and skirts.
Faces, shiny from the application of gels replaced conventional makeup.
